Our client is a well-established international B2B services organisation, known for supporting companies through solution-led commercial models designed to enhance performance, agility, and long-term growth.
They are looking to hire a Sales Director based in Paris to support commercial performance across France by working closely with the sales teams, strengthening day-to-day execution, and ensuring the effective implementation of the group’s commercial strategy locally.
Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Management, this is a highly operational and field-oriented leadership role. The successful candidate will not be expected to define the overall commercial strategy for France, which is led at group level, but will play a key role in translating that strategy into concrete actions, coaching sales teams, improving performance, and driving results on the ground.
This role will suit a hands-on sales leader who enjoys being close to the field, supporting managers and salespeople, challenging performance constructively, and helping teams convert opportunities more effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and develop the sales teams to improve performance, conversion rates and commercial discipline across France.
- Act as a field-oriented leader, staying close to day-to-day sales activity, client interactions, pipeline management and team performance.
- Coach and accompany sales managers and salespeople, helping them structure their approach, improve execution and reach their targets.
- Ensure the successful local implementation of the wider group commercial strategy, translating priorities into practical actions for the French market.
- Monitor sales performance through reporting, pipeline visibility, KPI tracking and conversion analysis.
- Identify areas for improvement in sales processes, behaviours and team effectiveness, and work with teams to drive measurable progress.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ambition and execution, while providing the right level of support, guidance and challenge.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment around business priorities and customer needs.
- Remain connected to clients and market developments to help teams identify opportunities and respond effectively to evolving expectations.
Candidate Profile
- Fluent in both English and French.
- Proven experience in B2B sales leadership, ideally in fast-paced environments with short sales cycles.
- Strong track record in driving sales performance, improving conversion and developing high-performing teams.
- Hands-on leadership style, with the ability to stay close to the field and support sales teams in their daily execution.
- Strong coaching skills, with the ability to accompany, challenge and develop commercial teams.
- Comfortable working within an international group structure, where the broader commercial strategy is defined centrally and implemented locally.
- Results-driven, pragmatic and operational, with a strong ability to turn strategy into action.
