Senior Accountant - French speaking

Bahrain | Remuneration up to 1,400 BHD per month DOE

Euro London Appointments is recruiting a English and French-speaking Senior Accountant for an international organisation with operations across multiple jurisdictions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of finance and reporting activities for international entities, with a strong focus on UK and Belgian accounting, VAT and tax compliance. Knowledge of Belgian tax regulations is essential, while UK tax and accounting experience will be highly valued. French and English language skills are a key requirement for this position.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle including GL, AP, AR and reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and submit VAT and tax filings across international entities
• Produce management reports, variance analysis and forecasting support
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks and regulatory bodies
• Support budgeting, compliance and process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Fluent French and English communication skills
• Minimum 5 years' accounting experience in an international or multi-entity environment
• Strong knowledge of Belgian VAT and corporate tax, with UK accounting/tax knowledge highly desirable
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• ACCA, CPA or similar qualification is advantageous
• ERP systems and advanced Excel proficiency
